Tionna Jackson (aka Miss T)
I was born with a rare disease called Trisomy 8 Mosaicism. I was born failure to thrive and was not supposed to live a viable life.
BUT by God’s grace, I am thriving! My parents worked with me to create a life combined with a circle of supports, so I can live my best life!
I am a self-determined advocate, which means I live life on my own terms. I choose what is best for my life.
Also, I advocate for others to ensure people living with a rare disease or varying disabilities are treated with dignity, respect and have the best supports afforded to them in every sector of our communities; medical, work, social spaces etc.
I have joined forces with my mother to raise awareness of those living with a rare disease.
